The processing that allows the liquid phase leads to a monolayer standardized slide, where cells never overlap, but are clearly visible in all their components(both nucleus and body) although they are in a single layer inside a delimited spot of the slide.

This greatly facilitates the diagnosis by pathologists as it creates the optimal situation for morphological analysis and consequently a more reliable diagnosis.
